Proton Gaming, the world’s first esports team to share its winnings with its supporters via digital currency, is coming to Matic!
LimeJuice Blockchain, Gaming & Esports are incredibly excited to announce we will be partnering with Matic to bring the $PRO and $JUICE tokens to the Matic L2 Blockchain solution.
Proton Gaming is a multi-national esports, entertainment and content creation organization owned by LimeJuice. Amongst the Proton ranks are some highly skilled, well-known and even world champion players. Proton Gaming players compete in numerous titles including Call of Duty, Fortnite, FIFA, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Rocket League and others.
What makes the Proton organization unique is that it is tokenized, with its own digital currency! It is through this currency $PRO that it can share its winnings with Proton Gaming supporters! It is the first and only esports organization of its kind, and it has found a home on the Matic network.
LimeJuice has its hands in various gaming projects, both traditional and blockchain-based. Look for a new fighting game on the Nintendo Switch, BlackSalt Coreuption, as its first mainstream gaming platform release in conjunction with Ratti Entertainment and Coreupt Universe.
LimeJuice also has its overall token, $JUICE, which it hopes to eventually use as an in-game currency for various games with the ultimate goal to bring crypto into a mainstream platform or mobile game.
You will also see both tokens being used around the Intergalactic Gaming platform which also recently migrated its token, $IGG, to the Matic Network. Proton Gaming and LimeJuice will be hosting and sponsoring tournaments, creating pro leagues and sponsoring content on that platform in the future.
The LimeJuice and Matic teams first crossed paths at the 2019 E3 Gaming Expo in Los Angeles where LimeJuice co-hosted the Blockchain Summit. It was evident Matic was gaming-centric and recognized the importance of gaming in the adoption of blockchain technology.
